Counterfeiters apprehended.—We are informed, says the Petersburg Intelligencer, that in consequence of information received from the city of Washington, (where one of the gang had been taken up, and made disclosures,) one or two persons have been apprehended, and committed to jail in this town. on a charge of making and offering counterfeit money. The combination appears to be extensive; spreading over a large space, and embracing numerous individuals in the various branches of its operations, females as well as males. The Police are still on the look out; and we hope that none of the offenders will be able to elude their vigilance.
