The Way They Do 'Em.—Firemen are generally, in all of their conduct, distinguished for their gallantry. Whether it is gallant, however, to test their engines upon the domicils of Chinese frailty, is mere matter of opinion. At all events, in Marysville, San Jose, Nevada, and other places in the State, we find this sort of thing is becoming a favorite amusement of those who play with "der mergency." The consequence is that those particular places are becoming singularly free from the presence of Chinese brothels and their disgusting inmates.
