High Brass To Visit NOB

Captain L. J. Dow, commandant NOB, said yesterday that high ranking officers of the Navy, Army and Airforce will visit Kodiak next week.

An Associated Press report from Washington said those making the 10-day trip of Alaska include General Omar Bradley, General Hoyt S. Vandenberg, General J. Lawton Collins and Vice Admiral Arthur D. Struble, deputy chief of naval operations.

Defense Secretary Louis Johnson said the officers will visit the territory to inspect defenses.

The arrival date of the inspecting party in Kodiak was not given.
