The States General, after deliberating upon this Subject, resolved, that the Thanks of their High Mightinesses should be returned to the Earl of Holderness, for the obliging Testimonies they had received of the Attention of the King of Great Britain, and to express to him how sensible they were of the Assurances of Friendship made to them by his Britannick Majesty, which nothing would be wanting on their Side to cultivate and improve, and which they would endeavour to convince him of, by concurring with his Majesty in every Measure which shall tend to promote the mutual Happiness of the two Powers.
Agreeable to this Resolution the Count de Bentinck went in the Afternoon to the Earl of Holderness to acquit himself of the Commission which their High Mightinesses had charged him with, and in the Evening the Earl of Holderness dispatch'd an Express to his Court.
