(We have the above cut of our Flag, thanks to the thoughtfulness of Engraver Herb Smith, Portland, and formerly a resident of this valley.)
While there is no special occasion this week for printing a picture of the Flag, we believe it is not amiss to consider every day a day to pay honor to our banner. Especially is this true in these times when our country is Losing, rather than Winning the most crucial war in all our history. To that Flag we look for the protection of our lives, liberties and freedom. And, conversely, and particularly now, all the stars and stripes represent, depend upon us. That we preserve it, and ourselves, we must put forth the very best that is in us. The Farmer must produce like never before. Labor must give more conscientious effort;
Small Businessmen, must cooperate to keep retail prices from going through the ceiling, and Capital must content itself with shorter profits. All of us must willingly pay higher taxes and buy Bonds until it hurts. These are some of the implications of the words "Give it Your Best".
Bromo Selzer sales in the 24 hrs. following Tuesday's Primaries, jumped approximately 50 per cent in Montana.
