To Feed School Children.

The ministry of Campbell-Bannerman has already commenced the redemption of its debt to the British working classes, whose votes gave the Liberals their signal triumph in the recent elections. One of the earliest bills introduced in the House of Commons, at the instance of the labor group, proposes to empower the local authorities, which have now full control of elementary education, to provide meals for the underfed school children of indigent parents. The minister of education at once announced that he would, with the concurrence of his colleagues, endeavor to secure its passage into law during the current session.
