Herbert McGovney of Seaman, visited at the home of his uncle, James McGovney, Saturday night and Sunday.

Miss Bessie Alexander was called to the home of her sister, Mrs. Ed. Ernst of Ash Ridge Wednesday night, because of the serious illness of their little son, Ralph. The little one passed away at nine a. m. Thursday. The funeral was held at Georgetown on Saturday morning, with burial at that place. Those from here attending the funeral were, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Alexander and daughter, Bessie, and Mr. and Mrs. Clem Swearingen.
Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Hamilton, Mr. and Mrs. Omar Ayres and son, Emerson, were shopping in Winchester, on Saturday afternoon.
Mrs. Bertha Ebrite and son, Ray Inez Morrison and Mack Steward were shopping in Maysville, Saturday.
The Womans Home and Foreign Missionary Society of the Presbyterian church met last Wednesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Robt. Nixon. At the close of the program delicious home made candy was served. Members present were, Mesdames Bessie Morris, Wm. Hannah, Chas. Rea, Clem Swearingen, Robert McClung, Philip Rea, Bert Ames and Robert Nixon.
Prof. and Mrs. Floyd Nixon and sons, Babe and Bob of Columbus, spent Mother's Day at the home of the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nixon.
