Second Congressional District.-The Loco Focos
of this district held a Convention on Wednesday.
and nominated Mr. Philip Francis Thomas, of Talbot
county, as a candidate for Congress. Mr. T.
was a member of the last House of Delegates. This
Congressional district was represented, in the last
Congress, by Mr. J. A. Pearce. The Whigs of the
district will take care to give a good account of
themselves next October, for it will not do to allow.
by their supineness, the political character of their
representative to be changed, and this can only be
done by a failure on their part, to do their duty, as
patriots and good citizens.-Ball. Pat.
