ANOTHER LETTER FROM CLAY.

Mr. Clay has written still another letter—the fourth—on the annexation of Texas question. This last has not yet appeared in the newspapers, but it is certain that he is out the fourth time. It was written some days since, to a gentleman in Pittsburgh, and takes back all or nearly all that he said in his third—his 'I would-be-glad-to-see-it' letter.

Mr. Clay. And he has been driven to it by his fears of defeat, and the assurances of his friends in Ohio and other States north and east, that he was in a position that would be calamitous to his success.

This last humiliating act was forced upon him.

Let the Democratic press keep a vigilant watch. This last document may possibly be kept back till just on the eve of the election, but out it will come, sooner or later.

Ohio Enquirer.
