BOSTON, Oct. 31.

From the EAST-INDIES.

The Aurora, Capt. Sprigg, bound from Gibralter to Baltimore, spoke in lat. 39, with the Danish East India Company ship, the Courier, from Calcutta, which place she left the middle of May, when official accounts had arrived that a decisive action had taken place between the armies of Tippoo Sultan and the British, in which the latter had entirely defeated Tippoo, who lost his life in the action-his country was surrendered to the British, and peace is again restored to India, with a great extent of territory and revenue added to the British possessions.
