Full Text

The Ohio Valley News in speaking of the State ticket in this State recently nominated by the Democrats, says of the nominees for the Supreme Bench: 'They are two of the Judges who arrogated to themselves the prerogative of judge and jury to fine the editor and publisher of the Wheeling INTELLIGENCER for contempt for the republication of an article from a Democratic paper, whose publisher goes free for the original publication of the pretended offensive article. That part of the ticket at least deserves to be signally defeated by the people, and the party deserves to be cut down upon for endorsing such unjust judges.'
