Father of Abducted Daughter
is Hunting Down the
Scoundrel.
MARTINSBURG, Mar. 21.—Following her elopement with Jacob F. Rymel, of this city, early Saturday morning, Elizabeth Stocker, the pretty sixteen-year-old daughter of Christ Stocker, a prominent business man of this place is at her home today, having been brought to Martinsburg from Harrisonburg, Va., where she and Rymel were detained by the police Saturday evening.
Rymel who is aged forty-five and has a wife and two children here was a trusted friend of the Stocker family, and induced the girl to accompany him to Harrisonburg, where they were arrested on complaint of the girl's father.
Owing to the age of the girl it was found impossible to press the charge of abduction against Rymel, and he was today released by the Harrisonburg officers.
It is said that the father of the girl he enticed away from home has now threatened to kill Rymel on sight, and that the latter is now headed for some remote point in the South abandoning his family here.
