HAVRE, Dec. 1st, 1823.
Sir—I have the painful duty of announcing to you the loss of fifteen persons, part of the crew of the ship Paris of New York, which vessel was stranded on the 31st of October last at a place called Andervill, near Cherbourg. They embarked at Cherbourg on the 8th of last month, with the two crews of two other vessels which had also been stranded in that neighborhood, in all forty-three persons, and have not since been heard of. I enclose a list of the names of the fifteen.
