Full Text

The readers of this Gazette will perceive by an extract from a Bermuda paper of the 2d instant, that one of the French privateers (La Jeune Estelle) from Charleston, has been captured by the British sloop of war Indian, and carried into Bermuda. The privateer being French, went, it appears, from Charleston, with a CARGO of flour, rice, butter, cheese, beef and pork! This plainly shews the unpardonable partiality of your government, and is another proof, if any were wanting, to convince every candid person that all the French vessels which have been in our ports since the Embargo, have been loaded without interruption. KNOW that the French privateer La Constance did load in this port, and we KNOW that she passed our vessels of war without being boarded. Mr. Madison examined would or even say boarded France wants provisions, as well as money, and must have them!
