The man who said that time moves slowest at twilight, evidently never waited for a bellboy to bring him ice water in the morning.
At any rate Great Britain has not insisted that double tolls for use of the Panama canal be charged American vessels, if any.
Among other distinguishing features, the New Haven railroad has a directorate from which directors are only too happy to resign.
The Journal has received a Tampa picture post card containing the pictures of about half of a business block and labelled "Three Buildings Owned by Tampa's Morning Paper." You never can think of Tampa without thinking of Stovall and the Tribune.
Work is now being done on three railroads running out of Pensacola.
Pensacola, the Panama canal, and Prosperity.
It is reported that the Mississippi river contains gold. But that's not strange, considering the quantity the government has put into it.
The Prince of Monaco says he came to this country after big game. Yet he has a big game of his own at Monte Carlo.
The latest Mexican question is: How long will it take Huerta to reach a vessel on the coast when his successor is elected?
"The prison system," says a reformer, "is a form of slavery." True. And for that reason it ought to be avoided.
"Returns for the income tax must be made under oath."
They will be- very much so.
Why not "safety first" for the automobilist as well as the locomotive engineer?
