PEANUT HARVEST TROUBLE

The Canadian potato crop is smaller than last year but U.S. farmers are setting new records. Williamston, Oct. 8.-Farmers are having great difficulty in harvesting their peanuts this year because of large amounts of grass in the fields due to continued rains. County Agent J. B. Brandon of the State College extension service says that the average worker in Martin county is putting up only about 20 stacks a day. Two hundred prisoners of war are helping in harvest and farmers say that their work is satisfactory.
