Full Text

F. R. Curran, of this place, returned on Monday from the B. & M. coal camp and Sundance. He reports much snow at the latter, and a fair degree of activity at the former place, near which he proposes, in a few days, to open the pioneer saloon. The name of Burlington has been suggested for the new town, at which Curran's saloon will probably be the initial building, although a number of others are contemplated. This will probably be a kind of a "go as you please" town, where municipal matters will be managed in a manner peculiar to western railroad camps, and the buildings will be erected on wheels, so to speak, in order that they may be prepared at a moment's notice to move to the permanent town which will hereafter be established by the B. & M. Railroad company, the location of which, at present, can only be dimly surmised.

F. R. Curran returned on Monday from the B. & M. coal camp and Sundance, reporting much snow at Sundance and fair activity at the coal camp. He proposes to open a pioneer saloon near the coal camp in a few days. The new town is suggested to be named Burlington, with Curran's saloon as the initial building, though others are contemplated. It will be a temporary 'go as you please' town with movable buildings, managed peculiarly like western railroad camps, to relocate to the permanent town established by the B. & M. Railroad company.
