Fish Stocked In
Rocky Fork Lake
More than a thousand fingerlings were stocked in Rocky Fork lake Thursday, John Adams, game protector, announced.
The distribution consisted of 1033 black and white crappies, channel catfish and brown bullheads.
Another shipment is expected from state hatcheries Monday, March 30, Adams said
A week of test netting has been completed at the lake.
About 190 suckers were caught and the tests showed evidence of good plentiful fish food in the lake.
The suckers were taken to the Kincaid Springs hatchery for use as food and to Ohio State University for experiments on methods of preparing them for human consumption.
The netting tests will be continued periodically.
