Full Text
Western.—This little town in Massachusetts, if not anti-masonic is decidedly anti-Malthus, as fully appears from one of the Worcester papers which contains the notices of nineteen marriages in that place, all in a row. There must have been a conjunction of Mars and Venus, calculated by the matrimonial astronomers of Western, as all these alliances were formed within one week, or at most ten days. The prevalence of matrimonial fevers is a good indication for two of the learned professions in that quarter, the clergy and physicians. If divorces were granted as readily as in R. Island, perhaps the lawyers might ultimately come in for their share.
