YOUTH RESISTS OFFICER
AND LANDS IN BASTILE

Jack Davis of Sheridan, Wyo., was sentenced to 30 days in the Valley county jail for riding a bicycle on the sidewalks and resisting an officer. The boy, who gave his age as 22, refused to obey Marshal Baynam's command to take the wheel off the sidewalk. When Mr. Baynam went closer to investigate, he became abusive and attempted to fight.

On the promise that he would come quietly, Mr. Baynam released his hold on the boy, who ran away. He was captured in a few minutes and taken to justice court, where, according to Mr. Baynam, he "told it to the judge," and said "when he got out he'd show them."
