To the Editor of the Palladium.
SIR--In November or December last, you gave publicity to the presentment (as it was termed) of the grand jury of Louisiana, in which the character of Judge Easton was wickedly and unjustly assailed.-- In the "Kentucky Gazette Extra," of the 30th of January, a vindication of Judge Easton made its appearance; I had flattered myself that your sense of " equal and exact justice," would have induced you to give it a place in the Palladium--But having waited a month, and not seeing it appear, I have, as a friend of Judge Easton, to request that you will give it an early insertion-- If it is too long for one paper, let it commence in one number, and be continued and concluded in another. This reasonable request, I have not a doubt but you will comply with--for it is no more than just, that a man should be defended by the same medium thro' which he has been attacked--There are always two sides to a subject, and a perfect knowledge of both are necessary to the formation of a correct and impartial decision.
