Projects Will Call For Expenditure of Sum of $151,599

The Adams county board of commissioners received word from Congressman James G. Polk last week of the approval of two WPA projects for the county, with a federal grant totaling $151,599.

Project 465-43-1-17 calls for an expenditure of $116,908 for repairs of the county roads. This includes clearing, excavating, grading, drainage, surfacing, repairing bridges, building berms, installing piping and numerous other incidentals.

Project 465-42-3-362 is for operating of sewing circles in the county and amounted to $34,691. The products in this project will be distributed among the needy in the county.
