The Burrton (Kas.) State Bank Dynamited and Robbed of Two Thousand Dollars.
Wichita, Kas., Oct. 24.-A telephone message from Burrton, at 3:30 Friday morning, said that three bandits had dynamited and robbed the Burrton State bank, between midnight and one o'clock. The amount taken was about $2,000. The bank officials are reticent, and will not give facts. There is no watchman, and the alarm system was found to be out of order, and an investigation resulted in the discovery of the robbery. Telephone messages were sent to surrounding towns and from Patterson, five miles away, it was telephoned that three men had approached the town, and when challenged had fired a volley and rode off. Nobody was injured. A posse, 40 strong, at once started for Patterson. The sheriff and parties interested are out, and authentic information can not be obtained at this hour.
