Mrs. Edward Vollmer Palm quarantined in father's home.

Davenport, Feb. 1. Isolated by health authorities in her father's home, from which she and Edward Victor Palm, of Chicago, only a few weeks ago fled to be secretly married, Dorothea Vollmer Palm, daughter of former Congressman Henry Vollmer, today became a victim of smallpox.

Health authorities attempted to suppress the story of her latest trouble fearing a new burst of anger from the former congressman, who became so heated over the published stories of his daughter's secret wedding to Palm that he threatened to thrash any newspaper man who approached him.
