Bishop Edward R. Welles, of this diocese, preached on the subject of Church Guilds and their work, at St. Paul's church, Tuesday evening of this week. Rev. Mr. Wetherbee, of Nashotah, assisted in the services. Bishop Welles spoke of the importance of organizations like the guild in helping forward the work of the church, and hoped to see such societies spring up throughout the diocese.

At the 10 A. M. service Wednesday, Bishop Welles preached a sermon and administered the holy communion.
