We have the pleasure of announcing that the Abolition question has been at length settled in the H. of Delegates, by an entire new set of resolutions, offered as a compromise, by Mr. Miller of Botetourt, and all of which passed by nearly an unanimous vote. The Compiler says: "The remarkable fact has occurred that both parties, after all their differences, have united in a set of resolutions, which are deemed stronger by impartial observers than those about which all the discussion took place."
The Expunging Resolutions were to be taken up on Friday last.
The Banking Report was to be called up, on the same day.
A. J. Vaughan, Esq. (adm.) has been elected to supply the vacancy from Dinwiddie county, by a majority of 64 votes, over Wm. B. Goodwin (whig.)
