Jan. Campbell, of Bedford, killed himself recently by drinking rum. On the 30th ult. he left home for his work, taking with him a considerable quantity of rum. After going a little ways, he stopped and continued to drink, until he was insensible. In this situation he remained undiscovered, without food, and in the open air, until Friday, Jan. 2, when his faithful dog brought him back to life and consciousness. Although dreadfully frozen and benumbed, he was able to reach the house he had left, where he expired, after lingering more than a week in extreme misery.
