NEW-JERSEY CONGRESS ELECTION.

TRENTON, October 20.

From what we have yet learnt, we presume that HENRY SOUTHARD, WILLIAM HELMS, JOHN LAMBERT, EZRA DARBY, JAMES SLOAN, THOMAS NEWBOLD, the gentlemen composing the Republican ticket, are elected by a large majority.

In this town, the Federalists supported the following Congressional Candidates, namely, Aaron Ogden, John Beatty, George C. Maxwell, Ebenezer Elmer, William Helms and Adam Boyd. Vile as Federalists consider Republicans, they can yet condescend to make use of them when they think it will serve their purposes.
