Capt. Lang. Antoin, and Mon. Mezonville, arrived here a few Days ago from the Illinois. They say that every Thing is now quiet and settled with the Indians on the Communication from hence to that place; there are already a great many of them come in here from the Miamis, Ouiatanon, and Several Hundreds more expected every Day, in Consequence of Some Belts and Talks Sent amongst them last Fall by Order of Col. Bradstreet. I don't know how they will be pleased with their Reception here, the Commandant Colonel Campbell, not having it in his Power to give them any considerable Presents, unless he does it at his own Expence. Pontiac behaved extremely Well to Colonel Cochran, and his Party has made very useful Discoveries, which will make Monieurs look Black, and is expected in here To-morrow, where he will be well received."
