Full Text

When Bonaparte first set out in life he offered himself as an expert workman at the business of Unmaking Kings; —and he swore 'Destruction to Palaces, and Protection to Cottages':— Now, it seems, having set up in business for himself, he has altered his profession and his motto, and is driving a brisk trade at King Making, with a sign, Kings are God's Vicegerents, and Monarchy is the most perfect government which the nature of man will admit. Yet there are good democrats who still think Bonaparte a very consistent, charming man, and a real lover of the 'dear People.'
