Nome School, Aided By Home Arts Club, Raises $100 for Independence Hall

The Nome School will be on the honor roll plaque in Independence Hall in Philadelphia for being one of the schools to donate $100 for the restoration of that historical building.

The moneys, which are being collected by the National Women's Federation Clubs throughout the United States and the territories for this project, are being raised through the schools and assisted by the local clubs.

The Nome School raised $56.72 during the school year by penny donations and the Home Arts Club made up the balance from its popcorn sales on the Fourth of July, so that the Nome School could be placed on the honor roll, stated president Ann Tveter who was chairman of the project.
