Perhaps the finest county clerk's
office in the territory is that possessed
by County Clerk L. C. Dear. Since
the old office of the county clerk and
the probate judge's room were thrown
into one the office has become airy
and commodious. It has two doors
opening upon the hall, one leading
into an apartment from which the offices
are separated by a counter, where
the business is done with the outside
world, and the other opens into the
interior of the sanctum, where the fa-
vored few may sit on the leather
seated chairs, smoke cigarettes and
