There is likely to be a great Change of Fortune in the Case of one John Bell, who for several Years past has been distress'd in the highest degree: sometimes forc'd to Sea, and at other times in Prison, and lately hath been and now is a Drawer of Beer at the Rose and Crown Alehouse in the Poultry-Counter; but now is likely to enjoy an Estate of upwards of 100 l. per Annum, as Heir to Brigadier Lankton, formerly Yeoman of the Stirrup to King William, by Right of his Mother, Martha Ropers. The Estate has been, for want of finding out the right Heir, in the Hands of ….---- Howard, Esq; who is willing now to sign it to him without the Fatigues of Law.
