Full Text
A colored man and a white girl were married at Titusville, Pennsylvania, on Sunday night. but the relatives of the latter raised such a row that the modern Othello was forced to yield up all pretensions to his fair Desdemona. All of which goes to show that while Pennsylvanians may be very devoted to the happiness and well-being of the colored man and brother, generally speaking. still even the friends of a white girl mean enough to marry a negro are as yet unwilling to carry their love for the poor African" so far as to countenance miscegenation. Verily the darky seems to have about all the rights now that a vast majority of the American people are prepared to accord to him.-Wheeling Register.
