A Bridgeport Volunteers.-The correspondent at Bridgeport writes us as follows:
Our Bridgeport volunteers, who enlisted in their country's service for three months returned home between the hours of 2 and 3 P. M. on Friday last, which caused a little excitement in this little village. Fond mothers' hearts rejoiced at the sight of those whom they feared would never return to gladden their hearthstones. All of them we believe, are in the enjoyment of good health, and look much better than when they left their homes, to protect, and fight, if needs be, for their National flag. Capt. Wallace we think, is deserving of much praise, for the interest he has taken in the welfare of his country. One mother at least should, and believes does, feel under many obligations to him for the part he has taken in the reformation of her son. He took him an inebriate and has returned him a fine looking man. We learn that through the influence of his Captain he was induced to take an oath to refrain from intoxicating liquors while in the service of his country. We think if Capt. W. can exert such a happy influence over those under his charge, that more of our young men in Bridgeport and vicinity, would do well to enlist under him.
