More Adult Education
Shows Enthusiasm Here

At the public hearing held recently by representatives of Ford Foundation and the University of Alaska on the needs in this area for more adult education above high school level, much enthusiasm was shown for both cultural and practical subjects.

Mrs. Jean Burand was selected as the person to call for those persons having suggestions of subjects they might be interested in having taught to adults due to her connection with the university and because of her availability. She is not only interested in the subjects desired but also in persons who are qualified and interested in teaching adults, as the program is geared to use as much local talent as possible.

This is a survey, she stated and must not be construed as a commitment for classes to be formed. However, the more interest shown, the more can be done and planned.
