WASHINGTON (P) -- President Kennedy took time out from the crisis at the University of Mississippi today to attend the opening of the new term of the Supreme Court.
Both the President and his brother, Atty. Gen. Robert Kennedy, were present as Kennedy's appointee, Arthur Goldberg, took the oath as Associate Justice.
Chief Justice Earl Warren announced the retirement of Associate Justice Felix Frankfurter, paying tribute to him for his long service. Warren then announced that Goldberg had been named to replace Frankfurter, and Goldberg stepped forward to take the oath.
