Justifiable Hanging.

Atlanta, Ga.: A man named Walden, accused of ravishing and then cutting the throat of Mrs. Mitchell, a respectable married woman aged 19, of Rudolph county, Alabama, was run down by bloodhounds and jailed, where he confessed. Monday night one hundred armed men secured Walden, intending to burn him alive at the scene of his crime, but finally hanged him yesterday to a tree, where his victim was found dead. He says he thought she was the woman who testified against him in a trial.
