A calm, dispassionate young man married a lively, emotional girl. Soon after the honeymoon had flitted away they set about to remake each other. Their efforts meeting with indifferent success, the young husband grew cynical and his wife grew very morose. For months they had a miserable existence in the vale of sarcasm and tears. Finally, however, they gave up all hope of leveling their divergent personalities and lived happily unto a ripe old age. Domestic happiness consists in working out your own salvation.-A.E. Supp.
