BUD FOSTER HONORED,
APPRECIATION NIGHT
Bud Foster, announcer for the
Oakland Oaks, was guest of honor
at a Radio Appreciation Night
over the Oakland station recently. By way of saying "thank you"
for Bud's announcing for the Oaks
this season, he was presented with
many gifts, which included a golf
bag, radio, wristwatch, an overcoat, a check, as well as many
small gifts.
Following the broadcast, a party
was given in Foster's honor. Foster is now on a temporary assignment as a sports announcer
for a Chicago station. He is the
son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. Gudmund Jensen of Juneau and was a
sports announcer on KINY soon
after the station was opened here.
