Full Text

While violence and murder have no place on the
American scene and the murder of Toledo and Peoria
Railroad President McNear is not to be condoned, it
should be remembered he was directly responsible for
the mass slaughter of several railroad workers by gun-
toting thugs in his employ last summer. And the law
found it "convenient" not to do anything about it.
McNear's long record of refusing to obey the laws
of the land and of humanity, in final analysis, brand
him just as much an "outlaw" as Al Capone. Both are
dead now, and the world has suffered no loss therefrom.
