THE VOTE FOR SENATOR

DR. DONALD NOMINATED SENATOR.

The returns from the counties composing the second senatorial district show that Dr. J. D. Donald, of Hattiesburg, was nominated over his opponent, J. M. Stevens, Esq., by a majority of about 125. In Forrest county Dr. Donald received 875 votes and Mr. Stevens 1,003. Jones county gave Dr. Donald 1,596 and Mr. Stevens 1,205 votes. In Perry county Dr. Donald received a majority of 131. George county gave Mr. Stevens a majority of 90; Greene county 8 and Wayne about 200.
