Special to THE EVENING JOURNAL.

HARRINGTON, Aug. 22—The Christian man's obligation to the negro was made very plain at the close of the Holiness Camp at Denton. Rev. Lucius B. Campton, of Asheville, N. C., preached a special sermon upon this subject, taking as his text: "Who is My Neighbor?" The preacher said:

"Rockefeller has supplied South America, India, Japan and all the ends of the earth with oil; Duke with cigarettes, and American whiskey can now be had the world over. But the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is being carried very slowly to the benighted races and the failure of the gospel to evangelize the world is due to the inactivity and lack of good religion in the Christian Church.

"The negro at home should be helped and encouraged. I was in Dixie. When a young man was a member of a compact pledged to knock every negro for the least offense, but grace has since made hate give place to love in my heart and the man who does not love to be good even to a negro has no God in his soul." A number of voices shouted: "Good; say it again."
