Hymer's Case.

The District Judge and District Attorney have been notified by Hymer's counsel, that the Board of Pardons will be petitioned to commute Hymer's sentence from death to imprisonment for life. Hymer was sentenced to be executed on the 20th of November, last. His case was appealed to the Supreme Court, which issued a stay of proceedings until the appeal was heard and decided. The Supreme Court affirmed the judgment of the District Court, but as the latter has not been in session since the judgment was affirmed, no day has yet been fixed for executing the sentence.
