UNABLE TO AGREE

Southern Railway and Telegraphers Need Third Arbitrator.

(By Associated Press.)

WASHINGTON, D. C., April 23.—J. S. B. Thompson and J. J. Dermody, the arbitrators respectively for the Southern Railway and the Order of Railway Telegraphers, today notified Chairman Knapp and Dr. Neill, arbitrators under the Erdman act that they were unable to agree upon the third arbitrator of the controversy.

It is likely that the mediators, at the expiration next Tuesday of the necessary five days of arbitration, will designate the third member of the arbitration board.
