LONDON, June 5. (U.P.)—Sir Malcolm Campbell, holder of the world automobile speed record, announced today he would leave for Salt Lake City next month to make another attempt for 300 miles an hour.
The trial will be made in Sir Malcolm's famous Bluebird, in which he set the record of 276.816 miles an hour at Daytona Beach, Fla., last March.
Sir Malcolm said he believed higher speeds were no longer obtainable on the ordinary sandy beach hitherto used. He indicated he had made marked improvements on the Bluebird and already tested them.
