A complaint is preparing to be laid before an august assembly, by the officers and soldiers concerned in the taking of Pondicherry, and other forts in the East Indies, last war, relative to a great quantity of warlike stores, as cannon, ammunition, &c. which the captors, on embarking for the expedition against Manilla, entrusted in the hands of the servants of a great trading company. The property, it is asserted, was valued at 60,000l. but the trustees pretended to have sold it for 30,000l. which sum they offered to the King's troops; who refused to accept it.
