ABOLITION CONVENTION IN VERMONT.

A convention of Abolitionists met at Montpelier on the 26th ult., and nominated the following candidates.

For Governor—Hon. Charles K. Williams.
For Lieut. Governor—Paul Dillingham, Jr.
For Treasurer—Hon. Henry F. James.

A letter was read commendatory of the abolitionism of Judge Williams.

The candidate for Lieut. Governor is a good lawyer of Washington county, and has been Speaker of the Vermont Legislative Assembly. He was the Locofoco candidate for Governor last year.

The candidate for Treasurer has been before the people for many years, and has been elected hitherto to the post which he enjoys by the Whigs. Whether he will conclude to accept the nomination we have no means of determining. The ticket is made up of gentlemen of both political parties.
