New Offices On The Primary Ticket. Mayor Is Candidate

London voters will have something new on the ticket at the municipal election primary May 8. Candidates for all village offices are to be nominated at the May primary. New offices for which the voters will nominate candidates will be the three positions on the Board of Public Affairs, a new village department which came into existence since the last election.

Mayor E. P. Speasmaker announced Monday that he will again be a candidate and that he is circulating his petition to run for reelection. In addition to mayor of the village, other offices for which nominations are to be made include members of the London village council, village clerk and village treasurer.

The deadline for candidates to file for the offices is February 6. Declarations of candidacy are to be filed with the Madison County Board of Elections at Main and Second Sts.
