Riches take Wings.

The immense estate of M. d'Aligre, who died last year in France, was still unsettled when the Revolution of February broke out. This estate was inventoried at 53,000,000 francs, but it was encumbered with legacies and gifts to the sum of 15,000,000 francs. This latter sum even, owing to the excessively ruinous depreciation of property, cannot be realized from the estate; so that the heirs of this heretofore magnificent heritage, expect to realize little or nothing therefrom, after the legacies and expenses are settled.
